PAMID
One of the oldest Bulgarian
sorts of wine is Pamid.
It is on average early growing red sort of wine.
It is more largely spread within area of Southern part
of Bulgaria.
The well grown and developed leaf is big, rounded, five-plastered,
funnel-shaped and rolled upwards.
From above it has spider-shaped down, from below slightly
downed with tensed short bristles. The cluster of grape
is medium size, cylindric shape, of tensity from half
to bushy one depending on the branch type. The Berry is
of a middle shape, ålipse type, slightly longish/elongate.
The film is very thin, delicate, coloured in red, litting
up and in some branches – dark colored.
The wines produced out of this type of sorts of grape
are defined with their light red colour, typical for this
sort aroma, light, harmony taste, well for serving and
drinking the very first year of production.
MAVRUD
It is the later ripen
black sort of wine. It is widely spread within Southern
part of Bulgaria – within regions of Asenovgrad, Plovdiv,
Pazardjik, Chirpan, Stara and Nova zagora. The grape leafe
is big/large five-plastered, from the above it is slightly
rinkled, covered with merely spy down, from the below
is tensed and strongly bushy bristled. The cluster of
grape is large, winged, strongly widened towards the foundation.
It is partly tensed and sometimes bushy. The berry is
of rather middle large type, the flesh is juicy. The film
is of average thick type, coloured in black blue, strongly
dusted. The wines produced out of this sort of grape are
thick, quite well coloured, with well expressed fruit
aroma of black fruites, with good fenile stock, and good
for to be matured.

CABERNET
SAUVIGNON
It is on average early ripen sort of wine. It is quite
well spread within the whole country. The leaves are of
middle size shape, nearly rounded, strongly cut all over.
The five plaster is tight, from above – netly rinkled
with slight spy down, from the below – bushy bristled.
The cluster of grape is small, tensed, cone-cylindric
type and winged. The berry is small, rounded, the film
is flexible, coloured from dark blue to blue black with
wax coating. The high quality red wine keeping the character
of the sort of grape and region of grape origin are produced
out of the sort of Cabernet Sauvignon.
MERLOT
It is the early ripen red sort of wine. It is widely spread
within the whole country. The largerst areas of this sort
of grape are grown up in the Southern part of Bulgaria.
The leafe is large, five plastered, nettly rinkled, from
above – with spy-shaped down, from the below bristled
and slightly bushy. The cluster of grape is of middle
size with two wings, of tense of half type to bushy. The
berry is of small to middle size, nearly elipsed. The
film is of average thick, flexible, coloured in dark black.
The high quality red wines keeping the character of the
sort of grape, rubine red colour, well executed fruit
aroma, thick by taste, light and pleasant are of the sort
of Merlot.
RUBIN
It is the early ripen Bulgarian sort of wine sourced through
cross – fertilization of two foreign sorts – Italian “Nebiolo”
and French “Szhiraz”. The grape is ripening at the beginning
of the September and accumulates sugar up to 23-24%. The
cluster of grape is of middle size, tight, cone- cylindric
shape, sometimes even winged. The berries are from medium
big to big, nearly elipsed. Very well coloured red wines
with strong fruit aroma, thick and sharp tannins are sourced
out of sort Rubin. Usually they are proposed in bulk with
wines of sorts of Merlot, Mavrud and others.
